Week 7: #17 Blog About Technology

For this thing, simply blog about anything technology related. Yes, it can be anything that relates to technology! You just need to share a few thoughts.

Be sure to add at least one comment to any post on another participant's blog. That's what online communities are all about -- connecting and communication.

I thought this week was about wikis. I love wikis. I have a wiki and Wikipedia is cool. You can start your research there, but don't end it there I tell my students. Claire Gunnels, Cy-Fair

I feel a bit of likea candy addict with too many pieces of candy from which to chose. I don't havee the status of technophobe(yet) but I do get sensory overload from time to time with all the stuff out and available.

its kind of ironic that this week's topic is techonology and Horizon is down. We can't do much without our technological servers fully functional!

Week 7: #17 "Blog About Technology"
On technology...I feel that libraries should offer everything that will better serve our patrons,
Laptops, audio/video downloads, printed materials,& computer trainings.

I agree with bailey on wikis.

This training is probably one of the best training to come across HCPL.

People who where in the dark about these technologies are now able to log online too communities.

I recently got a new laptop only, it's not a laptop. It is a new device created by HP called a netbook and while it is technically a laptop, it's about half the size of your standard laptop and very lightweight. Aside from the ultra slick design (sometimes I forget it's a laptop, it looks more like a clutch), the smaller keyboard and tiny screen (be sure to pull out your glasses), I really enjoy it. It's the laptop you bring to your favorite coffee shop when you just want to browse online. Great tool for library use!
